Avoid Flushing the Toilet Again

Turn Off the Water Supply

Taking care not to damage the toilet, lay it on its side and check the waste opening. Take a look at the wax ring as well. There is a good chance that your item is lodged in one of these two locations. Replace the Wax Ring and Toilet 

If you did find your item, then congratulations! Now is a good time to replace the wax ring if necessary. When you’re ready, place the toilet back in its original position and screw the bolts at the base tightly onto the floor. Put the lid back onto the tank, restore the water supply and test to make sure that there are no leaks or issues.
