Let’s start with a quick history recap to emphasize the value of this company. Modern air conditioning was invented only a little over a century ago in 1902 somewhere in Buffalo, New York. About 13 years later, the inventor, Willis Haviland Carrier, along with several other engineers founded the Carrier Corporation.

Now, the multinational business produces well over a dozen products and makes nearly 20 billion dollars in annual revenue. The company offers generous warranties on products that boast seasonal energy efficiency ratios (SEER) of up to 26. As of this article’s inception, Carrier has an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau, indicating the business has excellent interactions with its customers.

Trane

Another time-tested company, Trane, was incorporated in 1913 but began with heating products and gained a reputation as an innovative business. In 1982, Trane purchased General Electric’s Central Air Conditioning Division and put that innovation to work. Today, it is a multibillion-dollar company with over 100 manufacturing locations worldwide.

Trane produces durable, long-lasting air conditioners with life expectancies of around 20 years and dependable warranties covering all parts. Like Carrier, Trane has some steep prices compared to competitors, but the products are some of the most efficient and effective. Rheem

Rheem is a privately held manufacturer, so there isn’t as much public information on its finances, but it is one of the largest manufacturers of HVAC equipment in the United States. You don’t have to shell out top dollars to cool your living space. Rheem features a lineup of around a dozen products that perform almost as well as more expensive options and come with appealing warranties. These air conditioners produce between only 55 and 72 decibels and have SEER ratings of up to 20.5 depending on the model.

Rheem is popular with the customers, with bragging rights, as it is accredited and rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau.
